Many desirable remote BC coast properties have limited access. We strive to match real estate buyers with suitable waterfront property, and assist in the development of their remote BC coast and private island properties.
A private, south-facing bay is bounded by high bluffs on the west and east and a gradually inclined beach at the south end. A 70-foot dock offers protected moorage.
The beach opens onto a four-acre orchard with pear, cherry, apple, plum and walnut trees. Much of the land is forested with old-growth cedar and towering fir trees. Besides the cabins there are numerous outbuildings including an equipment barn, three storage buildings, a solar array and a sound-proofed shed with 7kw diesel generator and large battery bank.
Equipment includes a sawmill, backhoe, tractor, ATV, two skiffs with 20 hp motors and 2 portable gas generators. Currently under construction is a pier that will follow the shoreline from the dock to the orchard to allow ATV access from the boats to the cabins. The building sites connect to the orchard and incorporate southwest-to-northeast vistas of Drew Passage, Calm Channel, Ramsay’s Arm and the Coast Range of mountains beyond.
A LITTLE HISTORY...
This waterfront property was originally settled by a Japanese family who homesteaded and established the orchard. In the 60s and 70s, when some of the older cabins were built, the site became a small settlement. In 1981, a German tourist operator developed the infrastructure (generator, solar power, well and water systems) and built the newer cabins.
THE FUTURE...
There are many idyllic, serviceable building sites on the property - in the orchard, on either side of the beach and on the bluffs, all with spectacular ocean and coastal mountain views. It is our intention to offer an opportunity to an individual, families or investors to establish a new destination that will maximize the recreational potiential of this unique parcel of Discovery Island property.
